The Hammerdrier campaign arc
Lord Occama's script 2
As you come in you see Lord Occama talking adamantly with a young female gnomish druid, dressed in oak leafed shaped leather armor in tones of autumn and her hair looks like a candles flame. She is yelling at him
“you felt it, you know there’s something wrong! Why wont you do any thing?”
“ Jessil please, you must remember we are stewards of nature, not her dominators, there is little I can do, perhaps we will have someone look into it, but if it is as I suspect then nature must take its own course.” Occama sighs and Jessil storms out the door almost bowling you over, kakari squawks at the retreating Jessil
“bye bye hot stuff…hot stuff…stuff”
Lord Occama looks at you with weary eyes
“I’m sorry folks, she’s quite the fiery one as you can tell. So, tell me how did you mission go?”
He will listen to the PC’s tale and decide how to continue.
- If the PC’s succeeded completely he will give them the agreed upon 25GP and a bonus of 10GP each,
- If the PC’s Harmed the beavers or hurt the forest he will be disappointed and lecture the PC’s on the need to protect nature, but he will pay them the agreed upon 25GP,
- if they kill the beavers and burned the forest he will be livid and only pay them 10GP each and they will not get any more jobs from the druid council,
- if they failed to save Bill Axeman they have failed the primary goal and will not be paid at all, furthermore he will spread the word of their incompetence and they will lose any reputation they may have had.
“What an interesting tale, I see you had your work cut out for you. Beavers are known to migrate from time to time, but I far as I know the dire beavers tend to say in one rather secluded valley just about 2 hours north and east of Hayton. Tell you what, if you guys go take a look at the dire beavers valley and let me know if there are any problems there, maybe their overpopulated or there’s a new predator hunting them, something must have made them want to move. In the meanwhile I’ll have Jessil look into a suitable relocation habitat for them. Travel up to Hayton and go to the north end of town, line up with Eagles peak and head straight for it through the woods, in about two hours you should find the beavers valley”
Treasure: up to 35Gp each
